Back in 2018, a friend and I took a day trip from Munich to Venice for the famous Venetian carnival.
It was raining heavily, the city was flooded, my non-waterproof shoes and socks were so wet I started feeling cold.
Plus, carnival was cancelled. Had to buy this pair of socks from Hard Rock Cafe to replace the one I was wearing. My friend and I spend hours in different cafes and bars, eating delicious food, drinking wine, meeting people and having fun.
Every time I look at the socks, I remember how sadness and disappointment turned into laughter and joy.
